<image:title>About - We Do All of the Work.</image:title>
<image:caption>Joe Chepolis - Vigneron | Maître de Chai | Enfant Terrible Taking an ever-growing passion for sniffing out compelling wines of all stripes, this enfant terrible traded a career in the cycling/ action sports industry in Salt Lake City for one in the burgeoning So. Oregon wine world. Lucked into a winery job, got offered some fruit, learned at the School of Hard Knocks™, inherited/commandeered/planted a couple of vineyards and thus Sound & Vision Wine Co. was born. Carmen Nydegger - CEO/CFO/COO/Most things starting with C Carmen traded in a long career in Film/television production for the unknown. Ever a serial entrepreneur on the side, always in search of a passion project, and ready to "take the bull by the horns”, she landed in the Rogue Valley and watched as the path began to unfold. With an eye for recognizing rare opportunity, and the guts to say yes, she has paved the way for this new adventure. Cheers!</image:caption>

<image:title>Vineyards - La Matriarca Vineyard</image:title>
<image:caption>Our estate vineyard. A sprawling one half acre of Aglianico planted in 2020. The first Aglianico vines planted in So. Oregon. West facing. Gravely clay loam over decomposed granite. We believe, with the white hot passion of 1,000 burning suns, that So. Oregon is a prime growing region for So. Italian varietals like Aglianico. Let’s see if we’re right.</image:caption>

<image:title>Vineyards - Edens’ Vineyard</image:title>
<image:caption>The “Little Vineyard That Could”. And the vineyard that birthed an empire. This is where Sound & Vision started. Perched at 1950’ in Talent, OR. 20+ year old Riesling vines. Farmed by us since 2019. North/Northwest facing. Certainly not certified, but farmed organically. No till.</image:caption>

<image:title>Vineyards - Layne Vineyard</image:title>
<image:caption>The Legend. Planted in the early 70’s by the inimitable Roger Layne and his wife Barrie. Their son Cameron now farms the wildest and most beautiful vineyard in So. Oregon. This site is so incredibly distinctive. I never looked, specifically, to make Merlot, but I did quite specifically look to make Layne Merlot. This is also where we source our Vermentino, which the Laynes prophetically grafted onto 50 year old Merlot vines 10 years ago. Who does that? Geniuses. Geniuses do that. Also the source of our Riesling and Pinot Noir.</image:caption>

<image:title>Vineyards - Faatoaga Vineyard</image:title>
<image:caption>Née The Conner Vineyard, this vineyard was planted in the mid ‘90s to Zinfandel and Tempranillo, the Zinfandel coming from some of the old, original Troon cuttings. Planted on granite on the Kubli Bench in the Applegate Valley, this is some of the last Zinfandel left in the valley. Now owned and farmed by Harold and Kristine Fuimaono and their son Tanner.</image:caption>

<image:caption>A relatively new, riverfront site in the Applegate Valley. Super sandy with HUGE river cobble that eat ankles for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Farmed organically by the Hedges family. Our source for Nero D’Avola, Vermentino, SauviB, and Gamay. A really special vineyard we’re super excited to be working with.</image:caption>
